Popcorn
Ingredients
- Corn
- Salt
- Some fat
Neutral oil is better if in doubt. This recipe is too warm for olive oil. Butter takes the profile of butter.
Steps
- In a pot, add a layer of oil and two corns.
The thickness of the layer should be a bit less than the height of the laid-down corns.
- Heat the pot at medium or medium-high heat.
- Once both corns have popped, set them aside and turn the heat off.
- Add the rest of the corn to the pot until it fills the bottom of the pot.
- Let them stay with the heat off for around two minutes.
- Heat the pot again to a medium-high level.
- When the corns start popping, crack the lid open.
- As soon as the popping stops for around two seconds, place all the popcorn immediately in a bowl.
- Sprinkle salt on top.
Adding more corns does not compensate for the amount of smaller and unexploded.
